This is the second edition of this guide, and focuses specifically on internet promotion, sponsored events, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) by tobacco companies. "The Political Economy of Tobacco Control in the Philippines: Trade, Foreign Direct Investment and Taxation" evaluates the intersection of public health and economic policymaking in tobacco control, focusing on policy in the Philippines. The research was led by Dr. Jeffrey Drope at the American Cancer Society, supported by an award from IGTC with funding from the Bloomberg Initiative to Reduce Tobacco Use.
