World No Tobacco Day 2023

Tobacco growing subsidies enable a deadly industry, and tobacco growing itself causes irrefutable harms to the health of farmers, the public, and our planet. World No Tobacco Day (May 31) presents an opportunity to persuade governments to end tobacco growing subsidies and, instead, incentivize farmers to grow sustainable crops that improve food security and nutrition. IGTC is a Collaborating Centre of the World Health Organization (WHO) and a partner in the World No Tobacco Day 2023 initiative. We invite you get involved and raise awareness in the following ways:
